Business Analyst

Introduction

As a Business Analyst, you will work within the organisation operational and business process department, helping to manage change and plan for future initiatives in line with company strategy.

Job description

To communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole;
To work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service/function/product provided;
Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes;
Consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions you have made;
Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations;
Gain agreement, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business;
Communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern;
Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary;
Support the staff and teams in making the recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues;
Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
To undertake analysis of the financial benefit of all projects and initiatives, to ensure they are completed and to track the benefit during and after implementation to ensure the financial gains are realised and reflected in the business unit’s budget.
To ensure all recommended initiatives and on-site projects are executed and maintained through the effective communication with management, suppliers, operational management and store employees, by driving towards completing projects in line with agreed deadlines and within budget.
To work across the business process department and drive Strategic initiatives
Assist in improving the business analysis competency within team
Perform adhoc data analysis related to strategic deliverables
Operate, track and report on numerous projects/initiatives at a time

Minimum requirements
Qualifications and Experience

Essential: Accredited Business Analyst Certificate/Diploma
Desirable: 3 Year Degree/Diploma (Preferably in Information Technology)
Desirable: Project Management, Business Process Engineering
Essential: 1 year experience in identifying/implementing CX initiatives with demonstrated results
Essential: 2 years’ experience with data analysis, performing analytical studies
Desirable:1 year operational experience in a Retail environment
Desirable: 1-2 years’ experience developing simulation models
