An exciting position has opened in the Marketing Department at the Head Office in Cape Town for a Brand Manager – Local Store.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary education, preferably in Marketing or Business qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience.
  • Highly skilled in a fast-paced administration role.
  • Strict adherence to the company philosophy/mission statement, consistently acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Confidence in producing work across multiple platforms.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.

  • Exceptional organizational skills are a primary requirement for the Marketing assistant role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Build Relationships:

  • Communicate with Operations and Franchisees to understand requirements and needed information, following each job through from briefing to completion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Franchisees and Operations, enhancing communication between them and Group Marketing.
  • Ensure a consistent and accurate flow of information in both directions.
  • Understand the objectives of each local store marketing initiative’s brief to deliver suitable advertising.

Local Store Process:

  • Arrange cost estimates and obtain approval from the Franchisee before starting production on any job.
  • Facilitate the design and production of POS, advertising, and other marketing materials for local store marketing initiatives.
  • Manage placement of adverts, liaising with Advertising Agencies and relevant media owners.
  • Package and dispatch marketing materials from Head Office or Spur décor to local stores as needed.
  • Review/approve social media content for restaurants on various platforms.
  • Assist line management with ad-hoc tasks to improve the day-to-day running of the local store marketing process.

Internal Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with Production Manager, Traffic Manager, and Designers, ensuring all briefs are professionally submitted with relevant information for the design/traffic team.
  • Maintain regular communication with all relevant parties during office hours.
  • Conduct regular update meetings with line management on all work input and output requirements.

Brand – General:

  • Check, sign, code, and submit invoices promptly for the payment process.
  • Ensure effective use of the Magnetic Briefing System to brief all jobs/inquiries to the studio/production.
  • Request and bill CE’s (Change Estimates) in a timely manner.
  • Follow up with clients within 2 days of submitting artwork to obtain confirmations/approvals and close/finalize/bill jobs accordingly.
  • Understand Spur operations to implement practical insights and learnings in all initiatives.
