Duties & Responsibilities

Duty and Responsibilities for our Front Office Receptionist:

1. Welcoming members at the concierge desk, and assisting with any requests.

2. Answering calls and directing to the relevant team member in the club

3. Making bookings for meetings, dinner, lunch and breakfast.

5. Keep the concierge desk neat and tidy at all times.

6. Never leave the concierge desk unattended, always advice your teammates when going on lunchbreak or to the rest room.

7. Recognition of members by face and calling them by name.

8. No using of cellphones while on duty.

9. The telephone on the desk is not to ring more than 3 times.

10. Report for duty on time unless you have been excused by senior concierge or members liaison manager.

11. Inform the doorman at the start of each shift with regards to arrivals of the day

12. Assist new members or staff with facial recognition.

13. Handling complaints in a discreet manner and communicating to your superiors

14. Training on Opera

15. Building good repour with members.

16. Using initiative and thinking out of the box

Desired Experience & Qualification:

To be considered for this role, you should have experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Certificate/ Diploma in Hospitality (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 2 years Front office experience
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Software and Opera
  • Fluent in English.
  • Well-presented and well-spoken
  • Take accountability and be deadline-driven.
  • Ability to plan and work under pressure.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to work daily.
